If you find yourself in the Dominican Republic with nothing better to do then you might consider renting a mud buggy.
While this excursion is very enjoyable in theory. And we certainly made the best of it. I would never do it again. It was a long day. By the end we were freezing. The "trails" we were riding on were through cow pastures.
The day begins by selecting your ride. They are all in disrepair. So it basically doesn't matter which one you chose.
All the buggies caravan through this barrio where there are children playing in the roads cattle running loose.
Then you cross the highway to the trails. Quickly we realized that we were not going to be able to avoid the puddles which were run-off from the cows.... We embraced the concept and charged through the water.
The trails end at the coast where we were thankfully able to swim to wash off. And even have a beer.
All in all I am thankful for at least capturing some amazing shots on the gopro of muddy water engulfing the buggy.
