Back in the days, when no one knew what Bitcoin was and no one cared, people got free BTC for attending a speech about it. To make them care they need to have some.
Steem can be earned "easy" and you dont even have to pay for it to get started, which is unique as far as I know. That should get people interested. Of course it is easier if the price is going crazy to convince people getting started here and that it is worth their time but hey...I dont think the people realized how much they were giving away when they gave Bitcoin away to their listeners.
