Welcome to our Steemit League Round 1 Review.
What a tough weekend to start the season: Zach Merrett get’s concussed on 23, Zorko still can’t shake the heavy tag and the Bont has a shocker
Rockliffe scores a miserable 52 and does not attend one senior bounce, Libba does his ACL in the first quarter and Ryder does his Achilles and does not appear after half time
Buzz players Fyfe, Menegola and Lambert all have sub 70 scores, If you missed all that carnage then you are either genius or very lucky!
On a positive note some old trusties went really well and this year’s crop of cash cows looks really promising.
Some positive highlights were:
Awesome first game of year scores by Cash Cows: Bonner (102), Doedee (80), Murray (76), Kelly (81), Holman (89), Barry (72), Fritsch (74)
No surprise Tom Mitchell was the highest scoring player in Round 1 with 156 and was closely followed by Buddy’s 151 courtesy of his 8 goal hail against West Coast.
Witts was a surprise in the Ruck, getting a 140 in the Cairns wet season! Wet weather and Rucks is not normally a good mix but Witts put in arguably the greatest performance by a Ruckman in wet weather I have ever seen.
Coniglio (146), Heppell (145), Gibbs (139), Gawn (138), Steven (132), Westhoff (132) and Cripps (130) also entered beast territory as well.
Turning my attentions to League Results and congrats first of all to this year’s first Bounty winner Hannibal’s Leftovers.
Your score of 2090 was enough to take my underwhelming team down and you have a Steem Dollar coming your way.
Adro’s Assassins and BraphB put us all on notice with huge first round scores of 2232 and 2216.
It seems NZL19500 didn’t get his team finished in time but it would have been a tough score to beat if you did NZL.
Hopefully you can get that team fixed before Thursdays lockout, just reply if you need any assistance at all.

So time to get stuck into those 2 weekly trades and sharpening the team up before Round 2.
