AFL Classic Recap
This league will be the conventional AFL Fantasy competition with a salary cap.
There will be 20 players in the league with the Top 8 playing Finals at the end of the season.
The regular season will run from Rounds 1-19, with the last four rounds being Finals. Every team will play each other once during the regular season.
So if you have upvoted to be part of the Classic Steemit Fantasy League all you need to do now is use the code sent to join the league.
AFL Elite Recap
This league will be the AFL Fantasy Draft version.
There will be 16 players in the league with the Top 8 playing Finals at the end of the season.
The regular season will run from Rounds 2-19, with the last four rounds being Finals. Every team will play each other once during the regular season.
Please note we will not be playing the bye rounds between Rounds 12-14.
The Draft itself will be held on Monday 26/3/18 at 7pm EDT
Draft is Snake order which means players who have early picks in odd rounds will have late picks in even rounds.
The initial draft order is randomly created by the site once all 16 teams have registered.
The Formation for each team will be:
- 5 Defenders
- 7 Midfielders
- 1 Ruck
- 5 Forward
- 4 Interchange
No captains will be applicable in Draft version.
Emergencies will be turned on but will only cover missing players from the same position.
There are no rolling lockouts so be careful to set your emergency cover, specifically for the long rounds that have a Thursday or Monday game.
Restricted Free Agency is turned on.
This means when any participant delists one of his/her players, that player will be classified as a Restricted Free Agent for 24 hours after lockout finishes.
At this time anyone can bid on the player.
The winning bid will come from the participant who is the highest up the Restricted Free Agent ladder at that time.
Once you make a winning bid and receive your new player, you go to the bottom of the Restricted Free Agent ladder.
You will slowly work your way back up the order as others make winning bids.
The initial Restricted Free Agent Order is based on the initial 1st round
random draft positions.
If a player delisted by a participant does not have any bids in the 24 hours after lockout, they will then simply become an unrestricted free agent.
This means they are available for any participant to pick up and will not affect the Restricted Free Agent order.
Lastly, trading with other players is encouraged as is an enjoyable aspect of AFL Fantasy Draft.
To ensure no lop sided trades happen, they will all need to be commissioner approved by or
.
This will be done within 24 hours of the trade request being made.
