Out of the many moral decadence in our Universities today such as cultism, prostitution, drug abuse, indecent dressing has become the order of the day amongst our students in the tertiary institutions.
Indecent dressing is now common in our universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, technical colleges and others categorised among tertiary institutions. The trendy menace tagged "dress to kill" is common among the females where they expose their bodies provocatively showing the better part of their cleavage, thigh and some other sensitive parts of their body just to look sexy and appealing instead of looking decent forgetting that looking sexy is an insult. Only prostitute should look sexy.
The males sag, wear torn jeans and do all sorts of crazy hairstyles.
I believe students dress indecently due to some reasons such as ignorance on the part of the parents, peer pressure, internet influence and fading moral values.
The sad part is that most of the ladies that do dress indecently usually becomes victims of rape on and outside campus. They are also lured into prostitution by already wayward friends. The boys are also lured into cultism and other vices just because they are seen as rugged and materials.
I think the government and some cooperate organisations like National Orientation Agencies (NOA) should be proactive in the campaign against indecent dressing. Parents also should wake up to their responsibility to bring the menace down to the bearest minimum if not fully curbed.
Thanks.
