To me, the word astuteness implies old learning.
It's the sort of information you see as well as feel when you investigate the eyes of an elephant or stop for a minute to wonder about the profound wrinkles on its skin, both of which I accept contains the certainties gained from each deliberate advance their feet and those of their precursors have set upon the earth.
