I photographed this alien from the American continent in Ukraine. These flowers are used in landscape design. They perfectly decorate the territory. Their unusual inflorescences are like a terry scarf.
This plant blooms for a long time and, even in a cut flower, does not fade for a long time.
Due to the fact that this flower is unpretentious, it has become very popular among fans of growing flowers.
In Ukraine there are severe frosts in winter, this flower is not able to withstand them. For this reason, the Ageratum is re-planted every year.
But, the first picture was taken in a birch grove, in the wild. There Ageratum has been growing for several years, judging by the old and young sprouts. So, not everything is as we think, or, as they say. This plant survived the frosty winters.
The Ageratum does not like excessive moisture. This can lead to decay. The amount of moisture should be moderate.
The ageratum multiplies, both as seed and as cuttings. So, by cutting off the twig, it can be sprouted and planted again.
This plant can be formed by cutting off unnecessary twigs, they will sprout again after a while.
It is a pity that these flowers did not appear in our region 30 years ago. After the collapse of the USSR, purple was very fashionable. I do not know why, but, in this color painted fences, doors, window frames. It seemed that the violet color simply swallows everything around. Then, on these colors one could make a fortune. For their seeds, there would be a line of several kilometers. Black Friday would have seemed childish prank compared to this.
