Aubrey De Grey has been doing research in aging and gerontology for many years. Some peers seem to think that part of his findings, as well as some of his conclusions are not well grounded into solid science.
This may be in part because some people don't actually understand the underlying implications of his theories. It may be far to think that we can eliminate aging, which is what De Grey is talking about so very often, but without having such a big and far outreaching goal, we might not get close to even improving healthy lifespan (which I talked about in a previous video).
In this video I look into Aubrey's approach by interpreting data from a talk he's been giving at different conferences; I also provide some practical personal strategies. Topics discussed involve:
- lower production of reactive oxygen species
- higher activity of antioxidant enzymes (CoQ10, Superoxide Dismutase, Catalase, etc)
- personal dietary approach (fasting, caloric restriction, IF, etc).
- cold thermogenesis
- exercise
- and more.
