An artificial intelligence-assisted and interactive bonsai plant was developed.
Japan-based, multinational TDK company has developed an artificial intelligence-assisted and interactive bonzai plant called Bons-AI. The plant can provide emotional support to its owner. Equipped with a soil sensor, a miniature camera and an LED panel, the plant can move on its own and reflect its feelings.
The Bons-AI is able to navigate around to search for sunlight, thanks to its axis sensor, which helps maintain its balance. When it finds the light, the LED in the pot expresses satisfaction by illuminating the lines. The plant is part of TDK's project called Attracting Tomorrow. The tools and contents developed within this project aim to bring us one step closer to the future.
The Bons-AI also offers recommendations by sharing inspiring words with a small speaker. Other features include a film-shaped solar panel, a light sensor, a wireless powertrain, and a base with a microcomputer inside.
