While this video avoids most of the more sinister potential that robotic security patrols engender, it's easy to mentally envision the addition of guard dogs and deadly force, for example. I shall have my own speculative addition to this field available shortly, and I promise, it will be a warning we either heed by restricting how robots are used for security purposes, or to prepare for if we cannot.
The USG has infamously been killing thousands of people yearly with robots already, including American citizens. As bad as it is when the extrajudicial killings are done in the prosecution of war by the government, consider how much worse things can get, when the same powers are applied by private companies right here in America. Anyone that thinks this can't go wrong, or won't make things worse, just isn't thinking.
The most terrible of possible futures can be imagined when the wholesale acquisition of every bit of data about us gathered by the NSA and their ilk is made available to Neo-Pinkertons, complete with social media postings, lists of our friends, hobbies, and holdings, combined with our DNA, fingerprints, and Iris patterns, and used to keep us from protesting, to keep us working for their masters, or just for fun and profit.
There's a chilling effect now, with many social media platforms and jurisdictions censoring and banning posters of content counter to their interests. It doesn't take much imagination to consider how much worse it will get when armies of murderous robots are wielded by private security companies in a legal landscape we are promised will include much worse than waterboarding.
Particularly given the fascination elites seem to have for hurting our children.
Wanna see something really scary? Read Google's description of how it handles accounts for children. At 13, Google treats them as adults. Then add in private security companies, robot armies, and how children have been targeted as means of extracting information from their parents.
This is a doom we need to get out in front of now, before we are completely subjugated.
As we can see from the video, this is not science fiction. When we consider how EPA, CDC, FDA etc., are simply used to centralize the chokepoints so that graft and corruption can be made more efficient, writing our congressvermin about passing laws to protect us will clearly not suffice.
