In Part 1 of the project I made a start with creating a Tree Bark camouflage on my Airsoft Sniper.
I started with the silencer to try it out. Yesterday I've modified the stock.
I started by sanding down the stock. You don't have to sand it a lot, just lightly will suffice. I had put some putty on the cover of the putty and added a bit of hardener.
I smeared the putty on the stock and created a nice layer. After smearing I teared through it with the plastic card that I used to apply the putty. It takes about 45 minutes or so to harden and then I did the same thing to the other side.
You might notice that I left some parts without putty but that's because i don't want it on the grip where I hold it.
When both sides were done and hardened I started sanding them. I had to be careful with picking it up because it's stings just like a cactus. I'm sanding it so it removes all the points that can break down. It would be a shame to see the grey putty again after I'm completely finished with it.
Here I had sprayed the entire stock matte black. After it dried up enough I continued spraying it with a brown color.
Personally , I think it's going to look like something. It's far from finished.
I'm going to do the same with the outer barrel, going to apply some green finishes on it and I have some dried moss that I'm going to try and apply on it.
