Alcohol drink is a beverage that contain ethanol these includes beer, wine, vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whiskey and brandy these are just few examples of alcohol drink. Drinking alcohol has positive and negative effects.
The positive effects goes to the moderate drinkers, according to some, alcohol protects them against heart diseases. The negative effects of alcohol goes to the heavy drinkers.
The short term effects of drinking alcohol are slurred speech, unconsciousness, memory lapses, headache, vomiting, drowsiness, loss of coordination and a hangover on the next day. The long term effects are accidents, common is driving under the influence of alcohol, drowning, liver disease, high blood pressure, ulcers, family problems and breakup of relationships.
Drinking every night heavily is a habit. Alcohol drink has stimulant effect, alcohol is consider as a depressant. Some people drink heavily because they want to escape their problems. The alcohol gives the feeling of happiness and joy when drunk, so the next day they look forward to drinking again and again.
Here are some tips on how to quit drinking if you want to change before it's too late. Withdrawal from drinking alcohol is not that easy, it can cause alcohol withdrawal symptom like difficulty in sleeping, irritability, headache, feeling tired and a bad mood.
Limit the alcohol intake and try to reduce it gradually. Set no alcohol days. Make yourself busy in some other things like exercise or religious activities.
Avoid temptations, including places where you used to drink with your friends or peers. If your drinking buddies ask you to go out for a bottle, try to avoid them gracefully by using a good alibi like "I am taking my medication" so that they will not feel bad about you.
Another thing is to watch your alcohol intake. Reducing alcohol consumption is a good way to cutting your expenses in drinking, you can now have financial savings, you can now treat yourself and your family to a vacation which makes everybody happy.
