In my opinion, you will not find this, though every year approx a million people visit this place.
This place is as most of Jains will say "The single most sacred place exist on earth" according to them this hills is the place where 20 our of 24 Thirthankaras got moksha ( Nirvana).
But outside the Jain community, nobody has heard about it, because it also lies in the Naxal hit area of Jharkhand ( India is facing problems from Nexal separatist for quite some time, The problem is deep rooted with both sides notedly, Govt of India and Nexals have their hands in a big pool of blood. )
So there is a 27 kms treak there :
27 kms trek, mostly cemented, most people climb the trek barefoot due to religious reasons. trek is stretched across 5 hills, ascend is 9 kms to first temple there are 27 small temples. These (temples) are minimalistic and contains foot stamp of these great lords only but the place is mesmerizing in the time of moonsoon, when cloud dance over hilltop, downside being storms and lighting are frequent at the top ( i have had personal experience and was saved by miracle). Trek is demanding, so keep good amount of fluid with you. though you can get some fluid at the summit of the hill, at the temple of lord parasnath. but don't rely on it too much. keep a reserve with you.
if you are lucky you can see lot of birds in the way some times monkeys and some time wild buffalos etc, but nothing which can endanger you life.
average time of trek is 6 - 8 hours. camping is not allowed there is a govt Dak Bangla ( rest room) which is just below the summit, but is in bad shape.
over the journey is beautifull and is like heaven but beware you will be tested for your strength and conviction like on every trek.
Sharing some of the pictures I took there :
(Image copy right is with me insta: instagram.com/sidmaximusjay)
This was the sun about to set, it was absolutely amazing and it took me three days to find the spot and another 3 days to get this shot. But all the time there was totally worth it. I waited for this shot like monks waiting to attain nirvana :P :P :P
Temples are small on the hill, minimal and only has a foot print in the marble stone. But the peace and energy there is absolutely awesome. You should try this some time.
This is the temple of 9th Thirthankar of Jains or 9th lord of Jains Lord Pushpadanta. View is definitely amazing.
Though i shot like 2000 pictures there, but i am sharing a few which are close to my heart. Hope you liked it.
