So, you know how it goes.
You come across something on Youtube or Yahoo that sounds to good to be true.
You Google it and start to read and watch everything you can find that appears to be from a creditable source.
And then it dawns on you, this is not the first time you have heard of this.
That memory from 5-6 years back comes creeping in, "Hey man, I will give you 500 of them for $500.00".
We all wish we could go back in time and change certain things, even the littlest of things such as this one.
That $500.00 investment would have equaled $1,371,635.00 at today's BTC/USD exchange rate of $2,743.27 per BTC.
But let us not waste time on what might have been. Instead, let's grab life by the reins and get this cart on down the road. Because Bitcoin is not the only coin out there. Actually, there are over 4,000 cryptocoins currently.
When you have some downtime, I recommend you go to https://coinmarketcap.com/ and take a look at some of the different coins and their trends. I also have one rule I stand by, and you will hear this from me and all of the other Crypto people who are not scammers, Do Your Own Research, DYOR. Please, do not ever take my opinion as gospel, it is merely that, my opinion. I am making educated guesses just like everyone else.
Okay, end of the disclaimer. Research the reddit, Steemit, CryptoNews, or anything else you come across, be it good, bad or indifferent. You need to know what you are investing your money into. Look at the daily fluxes, market cap, trade volume, and especially developer(dev) news.
Your local library may or may not have books on coins, but you can also look into books on stock trading to really get a grasp of that side of things.
Do not be one of the ones left behind.
