I am an Ethereum skeptic, however I still have made some pretty good calls that I didn't follow myself. ( March 12 2020 I wondered, what if ETH keeps rising? ) Well it did.
And while I might not use Ethereum, there are reasons to use it that I have missed out on. For example, HEXX and PulseChain. I tried to sacrifice some ETH I thought I had, but it didn't appear to work. And I didn't get into Hexx at all. If I had more Ethereum though, I would have been able to.
The reason that it might be a good idea to buy some ETH and hold it now, is that Ethereum is going through its own evolution. After the recent London Hard fork it seems they turned on the furnace. Ethereum has burned 97 million dollars since EIP-1559 activated, 30,528 ETH so far.
You can see how much Eth is being burned at https://watchtheburn.com/ <--
According to https://ultrasound.money/ and this video I was watching, after Eth2.0 comes online the supply will start to decline and it will become deflationary. Who knows what we might need ETH for in 5 years? I may have been too much of a skeptic, missing the chance to buy ETH when it was less than pennies. I remember when it first launched. I even met the brilliant Mr V and it was cool.
And I still am a skeptic, not buying it when it was under $100, and not acquiring more after it hit ATHs and then fell to $125 again. I looked at the price and like a cow staring at an oncoming train, didn't buy ETH. After I spent a week in 2017 trying to install and run the Ethereun node unsuccessfully, I decided it was just not going to work on my machine. I had a little Eth at one point but I was and still am much more interested in Hive. It is hard to deny that it is growing.
I am not suggesting you trade your Hive for Ethereum. I am not even suggesting you do anything with your ETH if you were to get some. If you have none, right now, in 2021, perhaps we should think about putting a tiny bit of ETH away for fuel. There are lots of reasons to use ETH, mainly to burn it, since it's primary reason for existence is as fuel for smart contract computations.
I consider the risk/reward of storing a bit of ETH to burn later.
(Here is another video that explains Eth2.0 a little bit.)
You can get ETH on BSC using PancakeSwap
At current prices, 350 BUSD will get you about 0.10969 ETH
"It's not about money, it's about sending a message. Everything burns!"
How much Eth have you burned?
