Maybe you missed the bitcoin explosion in price where you could have bought 1000 btc for 100 bucks or maybe you cashed out your main supply of btc during the crash (at the bottom)... Now you're wondering what the next altcoin that can have the potential price appreciation as btc will be in the future.
So get out the crystal ball because altcoin would is mainly speculation and gambling! But... some of these coins are at low price levels and some have serious contention to match btc price levels.
Here is my top 10 list of sleeper altcoins (I've excluded dash and eth since they have since exploded in value)
NEM (XEM) - $.0135 - Low price point and can load up on this coin and have a huge payday potentially. Can also lose your shirt.
ZCash (ZEC) - $64.30 - Higher price point but still has upside potential and loyal supporters
Steem (STEEM) - $.1666 - Much support from this community and other avenues and huge upside. Feel that Steem will explode in value and have a stable price since it has been tested in the beginning higher price and subsequent drop.
SingularDTV (SNGLS) - $0.042 - Sitting at #4 spot since it is so unique backed by a small upstart studio that could blossom into something large. Cheap price point and large market cap (#24)
Factom (FCT) - $4.30 - Interesting coin in that they store their information in their own blockchain which in turn cranks it into bitcoins blockchain through another hash. It is a contender since it has been around I believe as long as Ethereum
MaidSafeCoin (MAID) - $.1509 - This coin reminds me of the backers of Ethereum, very smart and driven into the future. It has been around awhile now 10+ years and sitting at a solid #10 spot on market cap. I think it is cheap at 15 cents!
Ripple (XRP) - $0.0096 - I consider ripple to be a bargain at a low price point but high in the market cap rank (#4)
Waves (WAVES) - $0.372644 - Good potential and could experience adoption
Lisk (LSK) - $0.303509 - Same as waves, good potential
Dogecoin (DOGE) $0.000272 - Had to put this coin on the list, most everyone has boatloads of it lol and it started off as a joke. It is standing at an impressive #23 in market cap!
