Hey guys! How is your Saturday going? I will give a short catch up. Are you a plant savvy? I bought an Air Plant which I am so excited to introduce to all of you in a while.
Just so happy that I'm be able again to go out of my bat cave and finally get some Vitamin D for my skin. This is my first time to visit a different city from where I lived. Since the government placed Metro Manila under General Community Quarantine, more shopping malls and restaurants are now opening their doors to New Normal.
Here's are few snippets of Bonifacio Global City. I really missed walking around in this area. It was so rewarding to watch people walk by. I love the atmosphere of the streets and corner of BFC.
Do you sense mixed vibe inspired by Singapore and New York too?
Me and a friend had a quick visit to the plant shop on Market-Market. I forgot to take photos of the shops, I guess I'm distracted by those green friends that surround us.
To satisfy my plant craving. I bring this baby home.
I picked this because of its incredible unique quality that had caught my attention. The first thing I become quickly obsessed about this? Because it's an Air Plant I do not need to pot it on the soil. And only requires a few amounts of watering. It just needs simple planters like stainless steel stand, wire planter, or cork to thrive.
Another good thing about this? It's perfect for tiny spaces, you can place it on top of your office desk.
They called this plant Cotton Candy Tillandsia. I guess they got the name from the colors that come out from its flower that visually alike to Cotton Candy.
As it blooms, the color transitions to Baby Blue, Pink, Lavender.
Our house is a closed area. We don’t have windows where sunlight can come through. It's full darkness if I switch off the lights. Hopefully, I will figure out how would my new plant survive indoors even on our house condition. I've read that it can live under fluorescent light 12 hours per day.
Did I enjoy going out again?
Yes, God knows how I long to be out there again. I'm an introvert, and there was so many ways to entertain myself. Being told what to do is annoying! And that's what I hate the most about this Covid-19 drama. I'm a free soul, I like the thought of living in my own terms. And I miss my parents, siblings, and friends. They're living in a different city. I haven't seen them in person for 4 months. I'm glad to see one of my friends again. One of these days I will visit my home town. I will update you about that. It will be a challenge because they live quite far from me so yeah... I will definitely go out again!
What do you think about my new plant? Do you have some care tips to give? Let me know about that in the comment section below.
So that's it for today. See you again on my next blog.
Love lots, Pat
