I'm headed to bed, but wanted to quickly share that I made my first transaction using firewood as currency!
As you can see by the picture I got a gently used McCulloch chain saw. This saw has a lot more power then the saw I am currently running which is much safer and will save me a lot of time on those 25-30 inch DBH (depth at breast height) massive oaks and pines.
This is pretty exciting for me, because what I got in payment will help me make more wood and in turn, help me make more trades.
I traded for the saw and a pair of Chainsaw chaps for half of a cord of split and dried wood (about 1.5 cubic meters).
Who knows, maybe I can find some hipster with a fireplace that wants to buy wood with crypto!
Here is an updated shot of the wood pile, still got a lot of work to do before winter really sets in and hoping to make some more deals too!
