My sympathies to the people in this accident. 116 injuried, 2 death in South Carolina, train going from NY to Miami. Better to go by car, than Amtrak, I say. Only a few route, they make money on. These tracks are ancient, compared to modern bullet trains in other world nations. They don't have the money to take care of these trains. If they did, they would have had bullet trains already. They playing Russian roulette with customers, instead of overhauling the system. If it doesn't make money and you are not going to maintain it properly, shut it down. 3 accident in 2 months. Stop the slaughter. Stop Amtrak killing people out of negligence.
Maybe wait for Musk's hyper-loop. Even that probably more safer.
