I've lived in Acapulco, Mexico on and off for over a year. I really love the EXPAT community down here. Somehow the "4th most dangerous city in the world" has become my biggest safety net. The truth is that Acapulco is not as dangerous as the news makes it out to be, and for tourists in the tourist area, it's quite safe. I have to give a lot of credit to this city, because it has made me spiritually stronger.
I will admit that Acapulco is very energetically powerful, and one of my main challenges while living here was learning how to maneuver my way through strong energies to attain a peaceful home and a peaceful mind. It is said that during the Equinox, the center of the sun is perfectly aligned with the city of Acapulco. I've also heard stories of shamans who come to visit and say that Acapulco is a very powerful portal. This is all hearsay, but I still find it pretty interesting.
There was a beautiful statue (posted below) that once stood 5 minutes away from the airport (very close to where I live). The statue was a man holding a woman, the woman holding a baby, and the baby holding two birds. The statue was built in an area where thousands of crows come to gather at night. Crows and ravens are known as the creatures of the otherworld and are physical representations of omens, magic, witchcraft, death, regeneration and prophecy.
They have since tore that beautiful statue down without warning. People in the community did not have any say in the matter, and most locals get a very creepy vibe from what replaced that very beautiful statue. Even more ironic, is that this dark angel, known as the "Alma Imperial" or "Imperial Soul," was constructed during the Anarchapulco conference this year. The statue points and stares into the direction of the airport where people come in to Acapulco, while the other hand points to the city.
We don't like it. It does not feel good when we drive by it. I don't even like to be in the area with which this thing stands. So during this last new moon, a couple of the community members went to the statue to lay out a crystal grid. In the video below is explaining the crystal grid, and why this ceremonial act is so powerful.
So if you come to Acapulco and you drive by this weird thing, keep your focus on the fact that there are people in the community doing ceremonies and placing crystals around it to keep whatever mala onda (bad vides) this statue emits to itself. :)
