This is a response to The Top 10 Best Films for Anarchists
I'm not a film guy or movie fan, so my list is pretty short.
Land and Freedom
The most significant war, for Anarchists, is the Spanish Civil War, when various left factions were going off to Spain to fight against Fascism. My favorite scene is the long meeting about collectivization and the peasants.
Breaking the Spell
A snapshot of late 1990s early 2000s anarchist "scene" that eventually seeded the Occupy Wall Street protests. This is also part of Battle in Seattle, but I think Breaking the Spell has more of the flavor of the moment. There was an intersection between ecodefense, animal liberation, and anarchism at the time.
Pink Flamingos
The funniest film about criminality, ever. John Waters got old and sold out, but his roots are in opposing the cops, laws, and straight society.
