While it appears that we are losing the battle at the moment, i believe ultimately, we will win the war in the end. Governments eventually are going to run out of money, forcing them to dramatically shrink the state. While there will be a period of time with hardship for the people, advancement of technology will fill the gap left from the shattered government. This transition will be largely organic and the majority of people will not even realize what is happening, just as they did not notice how we got into this position in the first place
