Good interview and thanks for the shout out, ,
hurley.
I still can't believe Adam thinks some of us are taking issue with his campaign merely because of an aversion to the word "government." I don't know a single anarchist against voluntary governance.
Notice Adam's speech in the interview:
the American people
the American people choose
the only authority I am asking for...
I feel that Kokesh misses the forest for the trees. The reason we have foundational principles and property norms is because we know it is utter foolishness to trust one man with any kind of power not governed by these principles and norms.
In his debate with me
said several blatantly contradictory things.
He said we could ignore all his policies, but also that we must abide by them. He said that majority votes can grant authority, ownership, and power, and also, in the very same debate, that they cannot.
He has called elections "scams" claiming that "to impose your choice of a leader on someone else is unethical," and simultaneously claims that the election, via "the American people" will imbue him with power. This is absurdity to any real Voluntaryist.
Also, regarding pragmatism, it is not the majority that has the power to elect him, but the crooked electoral college. You know, folks like Bill Clinton. Why does he never seem to address these realities in detail?
The entire concept of voting...of imposing your choice of a leader on someone else is unethical.

I would...have no authority whatsoever, EXCEPT in the, you know, DISTRIBUTION OF THE PROPERTY...

..."by the POWER INVESTED IN ME BY THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THROUGH THE AMERICAN ELECTORAL PROCESS...as per the WILL OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE declare myself to be custodian of the federal government.

All I can really see here is a politician. I am grateful that he made sure my name was plugged correctly. That's about it. That and your asking some tough questions, . Thank you for that.
