Whilst, in the US, attempts to ban 'assault weapons', or, as they could be more accurately described, regular weapons that are painted black, tend to result in failure. In the UK we recently banned 'zombie knives' which are basically either regular or fantasy knives painted black and with green handles.
This was met with little to no opposition, which seems like a real threat to what liberty we have left in the UK. I made the above video on the subject, partially because I haven't seen anyone notable talk about it yet and partly because I found it so infuriating.
I cannot even decide what I find most troublesome about this entire situation, that aesthetics are now a valid reason to regulate or prohibit an item or that they have now turned so many owners of these knives into criminals for no real benefit whatsoever.
What are your thoughts on this ban? Are there any other folks from the UK who are as worried about this as I am?
