These are drawings are from the Edakkal Caves In Kerala, India, which lie 1,200m above sea level. Stone drawings such as these are rare in India, although there are some other examples.
Legend has it that the cave fissure was created by arrows fired by the sons of Lord Sri Rama.
One drawing seems to show a large feathered being holding something in its hand, similar to the depictions of the Annunaki in ancient Sumeria.
Petroglyph at Edakkel Caves
Sumerian Annunaki
The oldest petroglyphs in the cave are possibly 8000 years old and are said to show links to the Indus Valley civilisation. Experts say the 'man with a cup' glyph found here is also seen in the Indus Valley.
Although the Sumerian civilisation in Mesopotamia is believed to have developed first it is debated that the Indus valley was also developing in parallel, if not before and maybe that the two are essentially the same.
There are numerous examples of drawings in the caves that show strange figures with masks or helmets, this one also seems to show a pyramid.
