This story comes out as our (me, tito and tita's including grandmom and dad whom my son fondly calls mommy and daddy) form of teasing to my son Shem Arres who is now 12years old.
The baboon is out of his favorite hilarious scenario of the movie Mr. Bones.
This whole story is an anecdote of the mishap that shem went through when he was barely five (5) years old, to remind him of the lesson, his tita's would always make a story out of his doings where he will be the main character to which he hated most. The story goes this way...
Once there was a baby baboon who ask Nanau Baboon if he could go out under the rain.
"Nanay Baboon, can I go take a bath under the rain?" asked the Baby Baboon
"Ofcourse you may" said Nanay Baboon.
"But be careful and do not go near the canal" added Nanay Baboon.
Baby Baboon then ran and play under the rain.
Because of having too much fun, Baby Baboon forgot what Nanay Baboon told him, and he go down to the canal for a swim.
Only then that he realized that the water was too deep for him and the current is too strong.
Baby Baboon struggled for help. Luckily, a neighbor passed by and help him out of the water and brought him home.
Nanay Baboon was so worried upon hearing what happened and hugged Baby Baboon tightly and gently reminded him to follow Nanay Baboon at all times so as to avoid trouble.
From then on, the story of Baby Baboon became popular in the house and is loved by Baby Baboons cousin as their bedtime story.
