The Bible teaches a lot about angels, these celestial beings are fundamentally intermediate beings between God and men, and they were, according to the sacred scriptures, created by God to fulfill different missions, although the main activity of the angel is the vision and the contemplation of God, that is, the meditation focused in the divine attributes of God. It should be noted that although the Bible on many occasions describes angels as beings similar to men as when they visited Lot in the Book of Genesis, this is only an appearance, because angels are pure intellectual or spiritual beings, that is, beings created by God with the gift of understanding.
And the task of angels as taught by the Bible can be very varied. Some angels the Bible explains have the task to combat evil and confront the beast, the false prophet, and the antichrist, the diabolic trinity, as in the Book of Revelations.
Others have the mission of revealing some divine mystery that must be taught to men, like when the angel Gabriel communicated with Mary to announce the conception of Jesus in Luke 1:26-38.
Others instead the spiritual protection of a person designated by the Lord as when the angel Raphael accompanied Tobiah on his trip, in the Book of Tobit.
The apostle Paul summarized with a spiritual teaching the mission of angels with men: "Are not angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?" Hebrews 1:14.
In addition, the Bible teaches us that angels are related only to those persons who fear God, and this is so because like attracts like, so the Book of Psalms teaches: "The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them" Psalm 34:7. This is of great importance because if men do not fear God and live like fools, men cannot expect heavenly help. The fear of God is defined as constancy, firmness, and devotion.
The Bible urges us to live in grace, to trust the angels, and to seek their help whenever we need it, praying to God.
