The Diamond Python
For the past month I have been volunteering on a Eco-farm that practices various forms of agriculture known as Perma-culture (permanent agriculture) and Syntropic Farming ( farming that has a high yield while also improving the soil quality). It has been an amazing experience of learning how to live in a community, learning how to garden, learning how about plant and getting to see some animals I am not familiar with.
Here in Eastern Australia the wildlife is strong and vibrant. Of the many animals that are here the snakes are some of the most impressive. While there are the infamous deadly "Brown Snakes" which are highly deadly. There are also Pythons, like the one below. I am told they are harmless and relatively docile. The one photographed here likes to hand out in the compost beds to soak up the extra heat that the compost gives off as the plant matter decays. I tried not to wake her from her cold blooded slumber as I got in close to get some shots that I could not be more excited about.
I hope you liked these images as I am happy to share them here. Please let me know what you think about them in the comments below. Thanks for stopping by!
Much love,
