I was lucky enough to be able to capture this picture right on my own backyard. These are Canada geese, They usually habitat near water with open filed. It gives them a clear view for the predators.
In the spring and summer they feed of grass. In the winter they survive on berries.
Canada Goose, They mate for life. The pair remains together throughout the year. In the spring the pair breaks off from the flock and being defending their territory. The female chooses the location for their nest. She incubates the eggs and the male partner guard the nest.
In the winter they migrate long distance to the south. They fly back in the spring and go through the cycle again.
