During winter time there are a lot of curlews resting at the Inn River and you can find them in the shallow water or on the meaddows nearby looking for food. During noon time you can often see them resting somewhere on a sandbar in the river floodlands. They are often flocking togehter in bigger flocks and this can be very impressive. The curlew is one of the bigger waders here in Austria and it is one of my favorite birds since it is beautiful has a very good camouflage and they are usually very friendly and peaceful birds.
