On one of my trips to Lake Neusiedler I didn't only manage to take some pictures of birds but also some pictures of the Ground Squirrels that live there. They live on Camping spot and thats why they are used to humans and it is not so difficult to get some closup pictures of them. I found a nice squirrel that was eating some of the grass on the meaddow while I took some pictures of it. Sad that the ground squirrels don't live here in Upper Austria because then I would visit them much more often. Since driving to Lower Austria, Vienna or the Burgenland is always a minimum 2 hour drive from Linz.
