This weekend i was lucky and found two different spots where i can watch great crested grebe building their nests and mating. As i watched them for several hours i was able to get some nice shots of the mating and also of one catching and eating a fish. The mating i showed you already in a video and now i want to show you the waterbird with it's big catch.
Thes birds are very good divers and they are able to catch fish in the water during their diving sessions. I think tehy have a very nice appearance and if you know where to find them it is easier to get a great picture of them than from some other birds. Because they are really fast acostumed to you beeing around and when they know you are not a thread to them they also come pretty close.
