I heard a different noise from the birds while blogging, a noise that isn't familiar and completely unique. Peeking out the window, I saw this bird on the driveway pecking at the cracks of the concrete. It was raining lightly but the bird doesn't seem to mind.
I took a few pictures quickly and left it alone. Since I have never seen one before, I like to have it around. I looked up the identity of this bird, and it is called Northern flicker! What a beautiful bird!
