The fish market in Essaouira is an amazing place: Small fishing boats drop anchor next to the medieval castle, old sea dogs are fixing their fishing nets, vendors are selling the fresh catch to locals and tourists alike while hordes of street cats roam the market hoping to catch some fish wastage.
Just next to the port, small stalls are preparing all kinds of grilled seafood while noisily advertising to tourists. As always in Morocco, it is inevitable to bargain if you want to pay a normal price, but in the end, I had an amazing lunch and tried six different kinds of fish!
