Mallard Ducklings - Anas platyrhynchos
Click for larger image.
The ducklings above were born to a domestic variant Mallard mother. Domestic Mallards can escape or be released and will breed with the wild Mallards in the area. They usually have a white bib and can have splotchy white on their necks and faces. Ducklings of the domestics usually lack the regular spots and coloring and can look like those pictured.
Time for another contest!
For those who do not know, Joseph and I are expecting.
I am now a day past due (was due June 7th) and I thought it would be fun to do a guess when this little baby will be born!
Challenge:
Guess the date and a time you think the baby will be born in the comments.
Upvote this post.
Prize:
Closest guess gets 3 shares in ! Closest date/time wins. If there are two guesses that list a date and only one lists a time, the guess including a time will count as closest so make sure to include a time in your guess!
Good luck!!
May the young ducklings inspire you!
