If you want to escape the city of Dublin, I can strongly recommend the Wicklow Mountains National Park. Just 20 minutes away and a completely different world compared to the city. Hills and mountains to discover, rich flora and fauna, and calm surroundings. Highlights in mine opinion were Upper Lake and the Glenealo Valley (where we spotted this beautiful deer).
