I woke up at the buttcrack of dawn today to get up to Blaine for work at Nature's Path. I am scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Well, when I got there I was called off because the granola bar line operators weren't there. I was kind of glad because I didn't really want to work 3 12's in a row anyways and had it scheduled in case I was called off. I decided to go check out Blaine Marine Park and Semiahmoo Park which were both nearby. Blaine Marine Park is a city park and Semiahmoo is a county park so both were free which is nice, unlike the state parks. I got the camera out and hiked around, something I haven't done in quite a while.
Some geese flying over Drayton Harbor in the hazy morning hours.
A heron of some sort in flight.
View looking out at Semiahmoo Bay. There were some eagles hanging around that tree on the left.
An eagle perched up on top of a tree.
I'd like to go back to Semiahmoo Park on a clear day so I can see the mountains in the distance.
