A 110-year-old, 21-pound lobster named Lorenzo was released back into the wild from Peter’s Clam Bar in Long Island on Father’s Day and National Lobster Day (June 16, 2025).
Lorenzo had lived at the restaurant for over a decade. Local officials held a ceremonial “pardon” and returned him to the ocean aboard a town constable boat.
The event highlighted conservation efforts and honored the lobster’s extraordinary age.
