This is something I found by coincidence, after looking through a series of photos I made, depicting water birds.
On the photo below, you see the... umm... rear end of a moorhen chick. You can clearly see the lighter dots, making the impression of eyes. A number of animals use this to confuse predators, for example many butterflies.
