It lays eggs of different sizes varying up to 32 percent and about 3-8 eggs are greenish-blue in color. Their incubation period ranges from 35-38 days, touching 41 days, at times. Mostly, the female does the incubation yet the male partner takes his turns. The Pigeons usually stay with the parents for about 5 months.
The masculine breed matures at the age of three whereas the female matures by the second year. Their average life is 14 years, and some live up to 23 years.*
