This week I was able to go with Jojo to her riding lessons for the first time. She's been going to lessons for almost 3 years and I've never attended one. I'm always at home with the other kids or working or just keeping house. I've seen her ride in rodeos barrel racing, but I had never been to the stable where Stormy is kept and Jojo has her lessons.

There was a man with a young untrained horse running in circles in the middle of the arena. That plus my attendance seemed to make Jojo nervous. She was very tense. Stormy knew it and acted out. I can see that Jojo's movements confuse Stormy at times. They need to work on their horse and rider relationship.

Jojo went back a few days ago and just rode. No lessons, no one telling her when to trot and when to lope. She did much better. She was more relaxed and Stormy felt it. I can't wait for us to get our little stable and corral done so we can bring Stormy home and Jojo can spend more one-on-one time with her. I think it will help immensely.
