Nestled in the leaves at the foot of the trees, the animals play and roll around all day. They whistle and sing and happiness they bring. They smell the bark, the Sap and the soil, they love each other and often stay loyal. They slide over pebbles and glide over streams, they understand kindness and feel what it means. The water runs freely and the wind picks up late, the squirrels jump daily to impress their own mate. The feeling of emptiness has never seen light, the forest protects them even when they fight. They smell the fresh berries and green grass for days, the light moves through branches, just like a maze. They live each day as if it was there last, they always eat well so they don't like to fast. I think we can agree that they sleep just as well, they stretch out their legs and make a faint growl. The legs gets a twitch and the ear jumps a beat, they run in mid air as if they were on their feet. I must say I love to see the forest all the time, the creatures are a gift, in your life and mine.
