This sweet girl I adopted a few months back. This picture was taken about two weeks after I adopted her. My good friend, Kelsey, found her with 2 siblings in an ant bed... She took her and her siblings in to her small home. She was living on top of 4 other cats and 2 people that even though they loved her, could not afford to properly take care of her. However, they did save my angel. I named her Halsey because the day I adopted her, I was inspired by the artist 🎵
Here's the poor baby when I first laid eyes on her and knew I had to help. She was covered in dirt and fleas. I gave her a bath with dawn (she hated it so much, it was so upsetting 😭) and got rid of a good bit of fleas, gave her a flea powder bath next, and then a flea collar. The fleas quickly vacated from her little body.
Here's one picture to show off her cute belly and the flea collar, and here's a second pic to show how incredibly small she was (my hand being the reference)
As you can see, my oldest kitty, Smiger, who is almost 9 years old, was not too sure of the new recruit at first...
But as can be seen by the loving snuggles, she grew on the rest of the family quickly.
My early Christmas present ❤ she is so precious!! 🎄🎁
Halsey seemed to desire more adventure than a regular house cat, so I started teaching her to walk on a leash: shocker, she loved it!!
Me and my boyfriend, Lantonio, decided to take her to a local nature area (Paradise Public Fishing Ponds) as an experiment - she loved it (she walks on the leash like a trained dog!), and seems to love my boyfriend even more than me 😂💔
So, now I take her walking at Paradise pretty often, she loves to climb trees and run/leap - she's a little bobtail and really looks like a bunny sometimes with the way she hops around. I love her sooo much! She's my little cat-bunny-dog ❤
