Today we are going to take a cursory look at the general characters of the class Mammalia that include the highly advanced animals, it is believed that mammals have evolved from Cotylosaurs (Mammal like reptiles) for that they put up the example of a fossil animal called Varanope. They have 4 chambered heart with double circuit circulation and non nucleated RBCs. They respire by lungs with the assistance of ribs and diaphragm. Their brain is highly developed with cerebrum and cerebellum. Males have testes outside their bodies inside the scrotum. They have internal fertilization and development is also internal inside the uterus. They have two sets of teeth, Milk teeth are replaced by the second set.
