One of my favorite Amphibia is the Frog, especially when it is so beautiful like this european tree frog. The green color of it is really nice. Unfortunately i only know one Place in Burgenland at Lake Neusiedler where i can find them, i never saw them in another part of Austria. This frog found a habitat in the reeds of the lake and there you could really find a lot of them.
The reeds of the lake is a habitat of several birds, and amphibian animals so it is important to keep these places for these animals. But since i visit the Lake Neusiedler the water is getting less and less and if nobody does anything about this the lake will dry out. But this has already happened 2 times before in 1865 and in 1736, According to zobodat you where able to walk from one End from the lake to the other, but with a lot of effort and the danger to get stuck in the slick.
