I have friends that have used Anime to entertain their children and it can help teach, although often the bad can outweigh the good. Many scholars would agree that most Anime in general is haram, but first and foremost we should check our intentions and the intentions of the Anime in particular.
Inshallah may a day come when Islamic Anime's can be a positive industry in helping some of us keep our history and still teach it to future generations while keeping us entertained.
