Isekai anime have gained increased popularity and notoriety over the past few years with titles like Rising of the Shield Hero, That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime and notoriously Sword Art Online but there's one Isekai Anime that stands out as a classic amongst fans of the genre, namely the two season trapped-in-a-game themed Log Horizon. Log Horizon follows Shiroe, his companions Akatsuki, Naotsugu, Nyanta, his gamers guild Log Horizon and the rest of the gamers in the city of Akhibara after thousands of players are mysteriously transported into the mmorpg Elder Tale after the release of its twelfth expansion pack forcing everyone to adapt to their favorite video game becoming reality in order to survive until they can return to reality. In this review we'll discuss the series' accessibility for non gamers, its great female characters, its annoying love square as well as how for someone who isnt a fan of Isekai, it may still be an enjoyable watch.
