What will you do, if your homeroom teacher is a planet-threatening superorganism that may cause the end of the world within a year and able to travel at the speed of Mach 20 (aka 20 times the speed of sound)?
I have my own reasons for choosing Assassination Classroom as my second anime.
School genre.
I must admit I like school genre animes very much not because I don't have a good school life back then, it's just purely I missed my old secondary school badly.
Perhaps that's the reason why I like school genre animes. Just to fill up my feelings of missing my old school back then.
SPOILER ALERT. PROCEED WITH CARE
The anime tells a story of Nagisa, the main character of the story with her his classmates (I mistook him as a girl due to he looks like a girl TRAP ALERT TRAP ALERT) were assigned by the Ministry of Defence to a top-secret mission - Assassinate the homeroom teacher of Class 3E, a tentacled superorganism which it ables to move at the speed of Mach 20 (again, aka 20 times the speed of sound).
With 10 billion Japanese Yen (that's about 9 million USD wow) as the bounty for killing this superorganism, all 26 students (increased to 28 students during late story) are required to assassinate him in a year's time using specially designed BB pellets and knives, or else the fate of Earth will be as the same as the moon - 70% of it destroyed, leaving it to be crescent shaped PERMANENTLY.
Koro-sensei (his name was given by the class since he doesn't have a name, and yes he's a guy initially) took over the role of the late Aguri-sensei, who was the homeroom teacher of class 3E before Koro-sensei comes around.
I know that you can be a really good teacher. - Aguri-sensei -
In return, Koro-sensei took over the role to be the homeroom teacher, teaching all subjects, also help them to gain back their lost reputation due to the last and most shameful class in school. With the help of Karasuma-sensei from the Ministry of Defense, they sharpen up their skills, stamina and physical ability in order to get close and kill Koro-sensei in 1 year's time.
Now you expect me to give you the ending? NO I'M NOT GOING TO TELL YOU. I'LL LET YOU CRY SO BAD AFTER WATCHING THE LAST FEW EPISODES OF SEASON 2 MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
This story is rather awesome I must say. While pursuing awesome academic results, a teacher as well took a role of making a better student in life. Knowing that class 3E is ill-treated by the other students in the whole school due to having the worst academic results in school, Koro-sensei helps them out by giving them one-on-one intensive lessons every time before every exams by helping them strengthen their strong subjects and repair their weak spots and of course risking being assassinated by the kids lul. He called this as "sharpening your second blade" so even if Koro-sensei left them, they still have another "blade" to use and survive in life.
I AM SERIOUSLY CRYING AT THE LAST FEW EPISODES SOMEONE PLEASE PAT ME
Fun Fact 01: S.A.A.U.S.O means Special Arms Against Unknown Slimy Octopus :nom:
Fun Fact 02: For some reasons Assassination Classroom is rated 18 in Malaysian TV lul. They even changed the Chinese title from 暗殺教室 to 3年E班 lul.
Fun Fact 03: I never expect even my dad's beefy computer cannot handle the second season of Assassination Classroom well. H.264 runs well in the computer but since H.265 video codecs is a thing nowadays even 24GB of RAM and 3.07 GHz of processing speed look how beefy it is still can't handle it. T.T Wait is it the graphic card's problem??
Fun Fact 04: Assassination Classroom's movie is also a thing (there's 2 versions of it - One is the real life version and one is seriously the summary edition of it) but I'll watch that later no I'm not giving a review about that nom.
Fun Fact 05: This anime has a lot of onions in the second season.
OK review for Assassination Classroom complete. Now let's see how long will I take to finish No Game No Life's review lul.
