Lavendel is a natural remedy for anxiety, not the strongest alternative, but it does work. Lavender or Lavandula angustifolia, is native to the old-world and belongs to the mint family.
Lavendel contains terpenes including camphor, this brings a sharp overtone to the fragrance. The oil from lavender include the substances caryophyllene (8%) linalool (26%).
And by the way I am doing this series because I freakin hate anxiety!
And I want us to beat the crap out of anxiety together!
I sometimes use the oil for aromatherapy. I also have one of these "neck pillows" filled with rice and lavendel that you heat up in the microwave and put around your neck, it works wonders for tension and stress, and it reduces anxiety for sure. Women can also use it on the belly when having cramps/PMS, (if you are a guy, I suggest you get one of these pillows for your girlfriend/wife/mother/sister)...
Lavender essential oil, is what you need to get a hold of, but make sure it's the natural kind, (there are some cheap knock-off products that will make people have bad reactions so be careful).

You have to use Lavender essential oil with some water in an aromatherapy "diffuser" or "lamp" or you know one of these "burners" with a little candle under it.
There is some scientific evidence that this oil or aromatherapy with lavender may have the ability to slow down the nervous system, helping a person relax and sleep better.

You can have a lavendel plant growing in your window, you can make tea from it, use it for massages, put it in your bath-tub. According to sources it helps keeping that declining hairline from declining...

So if you're a bit anxious like me, do yourself a favour, put on a hat and some "rock star shades" and go down to your local health-store, and score some lavendel-oil, and a "burner" and just go home and chillax...
This anxiety cure, gets two stars out of five possible:

And remember too much of a good thing is not always good, make sure you are not allergic, also avoid using lavendel products on young children.
