So for everyone who has just some Krisflyer miles lying around due to previous trips or promotions, you know that if you don't have 30000 thousand miles or more, flying for free is basically impossible. And actually even with 30000 miles there's not too much you can do. So what happens for someone who only has thousands or less?
Don't worry, don't let them expire and go to waste! Now there is a KrisPay Mobile app, and with just a few hundred, you could be looking at redeeming a free Gongcha, so that's really quite sweet!
I've done the trying and testing for you, so I can say that it definitely works.
There was a Gongcha at Tampines, and I have patronised using Krispay for quite a few attempts, it's really quite easy.
When you install the mobile KrisPay app, everything is quite self explanatory. Link it up to your Krisflyer account and port over the points. After that you can see the denomination estimation in SGD and you can go ahead and find other merchants in the Krispay Catalogue to patronise.
The gongcha at tampines has other promotions and mobile app payments available, so you can try them out as well. There's also an ekiosk where you can buy through a machine!
